Windsor School Employee

"The kids are great and very talented at Windsor Prep School Old Fort Bay. The parents are great and support everything that we've been doing for their kids. It is easy to work with your co-workers, and everyone is friendly with each other. You can go out in the area and enjoy time out with parents at events, and we all see each other as family. The Bahamas is a great place to live and work, with lots of things to do. Since the new Principal and his wife came with her as his assistant, things are rotten. They come and go whenever they want but expect us to be on time and leave at times after they have usually left. They have smoothies at lunch every day and don't do any kind of duties but expect us to be on call and supply for lessons. The assistant principal sits in her office each day and makes certificates and maybe reads to kids in the lower elementary. The assistant also shouts at teachers, talks about everyone behind their backs, complains about the job and the house that the school gave them, spends most of her time in the class where her kid is in, leaves early, is away from work every time her other kid is a little sick and controls her husband's decisions. We now have 8 parent evenings each school year, they complain if your books aren't marked almost every day, they complain if your lesson plans aren't complete, you have to make 5 assessments for each subject in each semester, they do not support you with student discipline, and they hobnob with parents while they watch you pick up the pieces of their bad management decisions. Everyone loves the owner, and we were a great family until these two new managers were brought it, because they have killed that family atmosphere in 7 months. We have put up with all the other principals who have come and gone, but there are a few of us who are considering leaving because of the two new people brought in."
