What don't you like about working at West Bend Mutual Insurance?

"Executive management does not understand what it takes to get the job done. They take the IT staff for granted and belittle their involvement in the bottom line of the organization. The idea of 'getting more done with less (staff)' is really getting tiring. Hiring 40+ consultants in IT instead of looking for full-time qualified IT staff to do the same work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To spend a week or a day in some of the employees shoes -- those that actually do the work that results in the bottom lines you like to report and reap the benefits for. Realize that all of the staff, not just select few exist and do have lives outside of the company; just like they do."
