Veterinary Pet Insurance Employee

"Sr. Mgt will say it is resentful, yet the masses will say it is a realistic overview."

What do you like about working at Veterinary Pet Insurance?

"The front line people are friendly. Senior management is an ole boys club of bean counters that have little interaction with the customers and have an old antiquated product. Slow to change with last year's ideas. The competition is beating the hell out of them. They use to be the biggest and best but have no clue of the current market."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you're looking for career growth it is very limited. If you're looking for a job to get by through these tough times, then it will work for you. It is a one time industry leader that is quickly loosing market share and customers to the competition due to old ideas and the wrong people in the key positions who is like the dog running around in circles chasing its' tail getting nowhere."

What don't you like about working at Veterinary Pet Insurance?

"You have to watch your back in mid management. It's like the big brother show of clicks of people planning a takeover. Rather than working together they have their own agendas, smile at you and say they will help you while all the while doing exactly the opposite. Mid management is trying to hide and lie about what is going on and only tell the good stuff that gets filtered up to the VP's and CEO who are all blind to reality."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get your head out of the clouds, get to grass roots level, listen to the consumers, your partners, and the Vets as to what is wanted then build it and do it quickly."
