"I've worked for vons for six years, while I have enjoyed the time their it was very difficult to get my job done because of a lack of caring or just not having enough help. All in all the atmosphere at most of our stores are great and most of the managers are also very good at what they do but there are those that make it difficult to do your job. It is an experience that I am thankful for and would not trade it."

"Large corporations have their own mind set. Corporate mentality is the civilan eqivalent of military intellegents."

"Numbers driven. The human factor is not part of the equasion"

"Listen to their employees and their needs. By the book mentality."

"I Like seeing all my regular shoppers when i'm working."

"The less responsibilities the they dump onto there management will yield better results and productivity, which in turn will make it more appealing to move up."

"There is hardly any positive feedback for anything you do but when you make a mistake, you are definitely talked to about it."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would keep the grocery shopping experince more simplistic for customers."

"Absolutely nothing. I went home crying about the situation almost every day. Very sad."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Good God, RUN!!! It may look pretty from the outside but beware because once youre in, its on. You'll be overworked, underpayed and enslaved not to mention the other negative things that will happen."
What don't you like about working at Vons?
"Everything from the management to the resources I had available to do even a sub-standard job. I had to commute 2 hours wach way for a job that was making me cry at least once daily and I am a very stong person."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get new ones. The supervisors need to be fired, they are corrupt, will sabotage your work to get you to quit and are ripping off the company little by little."
