"This is the worst company I've worked for in my 45 years of consulting. They claim to follow the IRS rules about per diem but then try to blame the client to get a lower rate. When the client was contacted, they knew nothing of the so called "issue" and forced VedSoft to give the correct per diem. They are to pay twice a month on the 15th and the last day of the month, however, if the pay day is on Saturday, they pay on Friday and if the pay day is on Sunday, they pay on Monday. Heaven forbid the Monday is a holiday because in their words "it's bank Holiday that’s why paychex is processing payroll on Tuesday." as if the holiday was a total surprise to them. This means the payment for services rendered two weeks before is going to be three days late. Must be nice to pay your debts late, wish my creditors would allow that. They ask for a "waiver" stating that the consultants don't want to participate in their health insurance plan BUT they don't OFFER insurance to consultants. This is to cover their butts with the government because under the regulations they are big enough to require insurance options."
