"The company has around 60-100 employees, depending on turnover. The company has a culture of passively hindering communication and cooperative work between teams and avoiding discussion of problems with customers and culture between teams. The only communication of these issues is between managers, and often individuals in other teams are not aware of issues with customers they share between the teams. This knowledge is often not communicated down to the staff of the team not directly involved with the tactical issue. People are strongly encouraged to "stay in their lane" and not cross functional boundaries even to help customers or the company. It’s unusual to get a raise at this company or its sister company (possibly not true if you are management), several staff members have gone 3-5 years without a raise. 50% of the VP level have departed or been forced out in the last year. The company has a high rate of individual contributor turnover, depending on department can be up to 50% per year. Management takes a hands-off approach to the management of projects and work, and does not seem interested in doing what it takes to make the company successful at the strategic level; management is highly risk averse. Beyond a tactical, day to day addressing of current crisis issues there is little movement to grow the company. Sales team turnover is high and the sales team skill level the company has been able to attract to knowledgeably sell some of the products is very low, contributing to a poor sales result and some staff downsizing and/or proactive staff departures. Overall these conditions cause a lot of stress and uncertainty for the staff and the morale is very low at this company and its sister company Netwolves."
