"I loved being around the children. We served and prepared food and served it at different schools."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would let other interviewers know that they people in charge isn't always right or doing they're jobs like they expect us to do. In order for you to run a company or have others work for you is to make sure you know what it is that you're doing yourself.!!"

What don't you like about working at Variety FoodServices?

"I didn't like when the office sometimes sent us the wrong foods to serve or didn't have everything in order."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would tell them that they need to be more focused and pay more attention on what it is that they're doing instead of worrying about unimportant things. When you're at work you are suppose to be focused and working."

"The opportunity to grow and try so many different things. I liked doing so many different jobs, in different things from what I had done in the past. Gave me the opportunity to stretch my skills and be a problem solver."

"Make sure you get it in writing."

What don't you like about working at Variety FoodServices?

"Poor communications between upper management and mid management on some things. This was a family company and almost all of the top management were family members."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"To be more honest with the mid management and hourly employees. Not always forthcoming with problems when they start so that they could be fixed on a more timely manner. Less tight with the money to help the business grow."
