What do you like about working at Vanderbilt University?

"Right now this is just a part-time job, so I am glad to have it. I want to work in academics, so this is why I have continued to work here so far. It is a flexible and low key job and helps for the time being."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Go for the salary you want up front because it will be a long time before you move up. Flexible time off. You have to know someone to get hired."

What don't you like about working at Vanderbilt University?

"There is no opportunity for advancement. I am not challenged. The HR process takes forever. The people I work with are underachieving and complacent in their jobs. This is just a part-time job. I am ready for a career change and career advancement."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would be constantly streamlining and restructuring systems, so the library functions more efficiently. I would combine some of the jobs and provide incentives for more productive work."
