"It does feel good to create satisfying relationships with students and help them to achieve their goals. The students can be entertaining. Relative job security once you have a few years of seniority."

"If you don't love it, teaching isn't a just for now job. You'll wake up, 7 years later and realize you're very unhappy and desperate to find your true calling."

What don't you like about working at School District 39 Vancouver?

"You work and work ...and work, and then you get bashed by the provincial government for being a slacker. This is not a job that gives back enough to make up for how much you have to give."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"There are too many people working at the board - way too much overhead. The money could be much better directed into teaching jobs and in-class support for students."

"Grandview Elementary had an a welcoming, comfortable environment, where students learning was the number one priority."

"At this time no, I really enjoyed working for this school. If they could add more languages to their school, it will be amazing for the students."

"I wish that this job offered a full-time position, but it was on part-time afterschool."

"Provide all of the students with a full Spanish program starting from Kindergarden to fifth grade."
