What do you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"I like working for the US Marine Corps but good leadership is seriously lacking. You have to look for opportunities for promotion or growth but the leadership gets angry when you do."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be careful. There are leaders here that do not understand the meaning of the word. They are used to a military environment and behave as those this is it."

What don't you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"Leadership in my organization sucks. People are promoted based on the amount of time they've been employed here and who they know, not by their abilities."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would fire my current supervisor and hire someone with leadership skills. Anyone can boss employees around but it takes skill to actually lead."

What do you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"Comrade, Friendship, and Team, it's the best way to describe my experience. Once you're in the battle field, you know the person next to you regardless of race or culture, he's not only your friend, but your brother in arms. You know that if something should happen to you, he will back you up with his life and you know you will do the same for him as well."

What don't you like about working at United States Marine Corps?

"3 things I really hate about the Marine Corps, they are running, M16A2, and camping. Reason I list them, is because we would run nearly every day and if the OIC feels great that morning you know you're running 5 miles instead of the usual 3 miles. As for the M16A2, I've never cleaned something for so long and it took me an entire day to clean my rifle only to be told it's still dirty. As for the camping, I used to love the outdoors. Until I got in the Marines Corps and all we did was go to the field for training. I'm all for training, but not when it's raining cold freezing water from the skies and especially not when it's sub-zero and you have to go out to the field for exercise to met the training requirement for the month."
