"I worked at U.S. Security for 23 years and it was an enjoyable experience."
"This company is the worst in being professional. I worked for ODS Security for almost 2 years until US Security took over, since then they had been getting rid of us past employees from day one and would hire inexperienced people off the streets. They even hired a guy who would stalk women at the hospital where I worked. The supervisor got away with anything and was a very irresponsible character, considering his mother worked in corporate, I guess, is why he was able to do whatever he wanted. He would change our shifts schedule without letting us know. And then accuse us of coming in too early and not fulfilling our shifts. Worst place ever, they ruined my career as a 10 year experienced security officer and wrongfully terminated me just recently over nothing major, but let the new guards get away with anything."
"This company has to deal with applicants and hires as all security firms do. The client dictates the pay, and it is lower than should be. It would be like trying to hire a brain surgeon and advertising the pay is $20,000.00 per year. You would get the same quality as we get when looking for Guards. There is growth in this field like any other field. The problem is that most of the ones recruited are not willing to work and because they are not suitable even for themselves, they will never move up. I started at the bottom and at a very low pay. I did what any other competent person would do at any job and did the best."
"My experience here has been very positive. My coworkers are great people to be around and my job is usually easy and fulfilling. Also, I almost always agree with the upper management and their decisions."
"Overall it's a good company but it has its flaws, I love working for the company and I do recommend people to apply."
"I have been working for U.S. Security Associates for 3 years. I like my manager and the company that we are contracted to. However, I have not had the opportunity to grow professionally in this position despite my dedication to this job and this position."
"US Security Associates really doesn't have any way to move up and no raises unless you make it to a supervisor from a regular officer, then you get a little bump in pay but not much for the work that needs to be done."
"I've worked with US Security Associates Inc for 4 years (almost). Good company; It is a great fit for retirees, Veterans and students. However, there is not much room to grow. Its ability to improve and move up is poor, thus, high turnover of staff. The paychecks are on time; the corporate office responses in solving problems are fast. The level of technology is good. Internal training system is very good."
