"I worked at the U.S. Department of State for 3 years. I started as a contractor before I was brought on as an FTE. My co-workers and supervisors were great and really had my best interest in mind when it came to professional development and career progression. Unfortunately, I could not find love for government work and moved on. There was a frustrating amount of people who were content with minimal effort and watching the clock until retirement. This would make it difficult to complete work at times and would more often have a negative impact on morale. However, there were also some of the most brilliant people I ever met but they were few and far between."
