"The Census Bureau has a wide variety of job opportunities, from clerks to analysts and all the positions needed to support those jobs."
"The census was a part-time job with amateur management"
"The Census opportunity was an excellent growth opportunity to expand my skills as well as see our government at work."
"Great opportunity to explore & learn about the community that you live in as well as some of the people in it. This was an unexpected chance to see the neighborhood from a whole new angle. I learned mostly that my ability to interact with so many people to complete this process was better than I expected."
"Temporary position. Good training program except scenarios seem unrealistic. Bonuses based on number of closed cases per hour and easy for me to achieve. I had fun doing it and making my own goals each day. Very disorganized from the first day (training and issuing of smart phone for data entry through the beginning of the field work). This required a lot of initiative on my own to make sure I had work up until the last day. They didn't train the supervisors very well. Difficult to get a person on the phone in the Chicago office or have them return a call. Voice Mail boxes were always full."
"Great Opportunity every 10 years."
"I have worked with the US Census Bureau on and off since 2009, holding a number of positions. The culture is one of dedication. The work supports and benefits everything from the economy to health care, schools, services, and more, and is free to access by anyone in need of the data to help better their own situation. It's a great place to work and the work is for the good of us all."
"working for the Census is good if you need to control your own schedule."
"Great company to work for."
"My employer is very good and easy to talk to."
