Controls Engineer

"I was fortunate enough to work as an undergraduate researcher for the University during my degree. The lab was the largest in the chemical engineering department and housed reactors so large and dangerous they were required to be operated off campus. The pay was acceptable, but the experience gained was worth 10 fold more."

"As a graduate student, I worked in the Bioinspired Science and Engineering laboratory where we have worked with a variety of processes and collaborators to create novel biomimetic materials. "I have always enjoyed astronomy and being around astronomers. They are people with a unique perspective on things and I always learn something new and fascinating from every conversation and interaction with them. This was a small and simple project that was mostly run by the department faculty, but I was happy to participate and help in any way possible. My contribution was with testing the control and imaging software, and documenting the setup and initialization procedures."
