"The pressure for grades, distracted supervisor, and lack of home-life were negative in my life."

"I do not know that the pressure for grades and publications is necessary. I would find a different motivating mechanism."

"Too tight with the money. Should have paid the employees more."

"None. I left the University a long time ago and I think that things are much different now."

"I would advise the nurses to stand up for themselves but still provide respectfull communication between the doctors and nurses."
What don't you like about working at University of Missouri?
"There was not sense of respect between the doctors and nurses, the doctors talked really bad to the nurses and about the patients when they were under sedation"

"To provide a communication class for the physicians and an ethics class in addition"

"Dabbling in science. I like being able to work on scientific research without having a PhD."

"Without a Ph.D. you have no intellectual standing. Your opinion and expertise are not respected. There are no career paths, and getting a raise or promotion takes an act of god."

"More technology. There are numerous areas where technology could improve the work, and make the work easier."

"Run. Run as fast and as far as possible. The pay is terrible and the faculty pretentious."
What don't you like about working at University of Missouri?
"You are and your expertise are not respected unless you have a Ph.D. I have more knowledge and experience than most of the faculty and can't get anything accomplished because I lack a special piece of paper. It's also nearly impossible to receive a raise or a promotion."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"More technology. There are a lot of options for saving money and increasing productivity that are not being used. I would also make sure staff are treated with respected, and implement career paths for all staff titles."
"Working as a graduate student is not worth it. You are underpaid for the work you do, and ultimately your work serves to benefit your advisors and the university more than it does yourself or anyone else. I would not recommend that anyone go to graduate school."
