"UF does not care about their employees. Across UF pay is poor and people are overworked. My department doesn't seem to care how hard you work, your dedication, or how much time and energy you give to your job. They also do not follow through with things they promise to you."
"I have worked for UF in their Academic Technology Department for over 5 years. I can tell you that this University does not value its employees. It does not follow through on things promised. It pays employees poorly and then overworks them. If you get unlucky and have a boss who doesn't care to stick his neck out for you, you will not move up at all. To have any increase in pay or improvement in title you have to completely leave your job and department and move around UF no matter how good you are at your job or how much you actually deserve it. There is no employee engagement. The Health benefits are good, but if you have a health problem and need to take FMLA for any reason, they treat you poorly. I have personally had 4 boss's in my 5 years here. 1 was fired, 1 was lazy, 1 stole my work and continuously lied to me, and now the latest just doesn't care. A coworker just left my team and had an exit interview with the head of UFIT and told him all of this and his response was we know and we are working on a 10 year plan to fix some of these things...sure"
"Best benefits that i have ever received but also the lowest paying in the field ."
