What do you like about working at University of the Incarnate Word?

"All of the full-time math faculty, and most of the adjunct, are at the very least good educators; some are amazing! Those that aren't good at educating at least have good intentions and are great people to work with. There is a reason that we have been voted a great place to work in San Antonio. If you want to work in education, life is pretty good here."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you want to be an educator rather than do research, UIW is the place for you. As a professor you'll have opportunities for career growth. Other positions within the university may not have the ability to rise through the ranks, but most employees in all departments seem quite content with their workplace."

What don't you like about working at University of the Incarnate Word?

"Again, people are great here... if you want to work in the education industry."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"It's hard to sum up what could be done differently. The last two math department chairs have done a good job of at least getting things done without upsetting too many people, and the last two deans have been the type of person that nobody has a single bad thing to say about."
