"I like the health benefits, the people I work with and my office."

"Don't expect to be paid $100,000. It is an educational University ran by the state for the people of the state and their main goal is not profit & revenue."

What don't you like about working at UC Santa Barbara?

"It is difficult to manage some projects. My slim proposals get snowballed and clumped with other projects and eventually the funding doesn't happen for anybody."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop cutting programs that directly affect the students. Stop wasting money on building renovations / technology upgrades when the teachers can't afford TA's to grade tests."
