"I've worked as a student web developer at the Boalt law school at UC Berkeley for about a year and half now. I've found it very enlightening and challenging. I was trained quickly in PHP, SQL, and HTML/CSS and able to begin my own projects within a couple of weeks. Within half a year I was able to advance and take on more important priority projects. My co-workers and boss have been exceptionally helpful and willing to answer any of my questions. This job gave me the passion for web development."
"Supervisors are flexible and understanding."
"The Welch laboratory has interesting and exciting projects and people who are intelligent and enthusiastic about their work."
"Graduate school life is hard and a lot of work. Otherwise life at uc berkeley was a rich one. I learned a lot about circuit design. I took a lot of classes. Once a week there are bwrc meetings regarding the latest research on circuits from various companies and other universities. Going to conferences was interesting. Writing papers was also a good experience to learn about technical writing. I wish I had more experience designing integrated circuits. Furthermore I also learned a lot about life."
"Part time job as a graduate student. Pay is slightly low but I learnt a lot of communication skills."
"Working at UC Berkely was an awesome experience."
"Great experience. Great school to teach with some of the brightest students."
"Learnt so much. Great people to work with, some of the smartest minds."
"Berkeley is a great place to work if you need a break from the pressures of the real world, and don't mind the frustrations of a fragmented infrastructure, high workforce turnover, and constantly changing goals and priorities. They are very supportive of continuing education and training, and do a reasonably good job of going through the motions of modern management techniques (i.e. Agile, Lean, etc.) and in implementing various components of the SDLC such as TDD, Continuous Deployment, etc."
"I've worked for UC Berkeley since 2010. The campus and the general environment are good, but whether your actual work environment is good really depends on the individual departments."
