1.4Deplorable working conditions, such as dangerously short staffing, unsafe practices, scary facilities, no meals/breaks, Draconian workplace, incompetent do nothing out of touch management, high employee turnover, and could put patients in harm's way. There is very little use of support staff (CNA's) if you even get one then they have to cover the entire floor, so the bulk of the work is on the RN's. These deplorable conditions contribute to a very high stress environment that leads to a poor culture of the environment resulting in passive aggressive workplace hostility. Politics among upper management are underhanded. The ED is even more horrific if you can believe that. This hospital puts patients at risk and puts RNs' licenses at risk as well. Poor pay and out of touch policies. This facility has had to resort to hiring new RN's, as experienced RN's avoid this place. To say it is like walking into the 1970's is being kind. Do not walk, RUN!
3.2Through the years of working at Tuality I have witnessed many changes some good and some not so good. More recently the bottom line was the money and not the patient experience or staff satisfaction. I loved working there for many years because we were patient-focused and we were a strong team. With OHSU coming in the feel of the workplace has changed and the dollar is the bottom line.
