Consulting Project Analyst

"Great benefits for FT employees, moderate pay, overall good place to work"

What do you like about working at Traco?

"Personal and non-bureaucratic; executives and directors are visible and accessible; 'worker bees' are hard-working and friendly (for the most part)"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"TRACO and ex-TRACO folks are well-represented on LinkedIn; if you don't know anyone from this company, you may be able to contact them by joining LinkedIn industry groups such as Fenestration Nation, Doors & Windows Manufacturers Group, etc."

What don't you like about working at Traco?

"The company is a bit process-chaotic, which in itself is not a bad thing (especially if your expertise is in implementing process improvements) ... but the resistance to change from the grass-roots to the ivory tower is significant. TRACO has been improving significantly in this area, but needs to remain consistent and focused."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make significant steps now to eliminate corporate ADHD. In other words, follow through on strategic initiatives and don't be distracted by every stormy wind of change in the market and change course multiple times mid-stream. Don't settle for the mere appearance of improvement; learn who can frankly tell you accurately whether the gem you've got is a diamond, a cubic zirconia, or just a broken piece of glass, and build their trust."
