"I worked at TPC Wire for 2 1/2 years. The company got acquired by a private equity firm and everything went downhill from there. Management became more concerned with the bottom line and maximum profits (so they're more attractive to a future buyer). Bonuses went away (despite being given every year prior to the acquisition, a period of 30+ years), positions changed almost weekly and turnover began going through the roof, especially in sales.The family atmosphere went away and they became just another ruthless corporate monolith that couldn't care about employees. Profits came above everything else. The sad fact is that they will probably be acquired by their main customer and then just dissolved into that company."
