"Sinking ship. CEO has dropped the company ball to concentrate on his basketball team. New purge of leadership has done nothing to create stability or meet revenue numbers. Sales people are bitter and not being paid. After the acquisition by Vista, it's anyone's guess if TIBCO will still exist 2 years from now."

"I have worked for TIBCO-loglogic for 2 years. I have worked mostly in low level clustering most of the time in an individual capacity. The experience has been unparalleled in my career in that it's been a pure development effort almost no sustaining work.The only problem is that due to a shift in management priorities, the project most likely will not continue."

"Extreme technical prowess is the highlight of TIBCO. The corporate culture has problems, however. It was conceived as decentralized and nimble but has devolved to a collection of feuding fiefdoms. TIBCO is characterized by organizational disarray and infighting. The CEO, who is brilliant, is largely disconnected from the company and more into hitting the pundit circuit. A lot of the corporate drift stems from this disconnect at the top."

"ask for as much as you can up front, as you won't get any substantial raises while you are there"

What don't you like about working at TIBCO Software?

"bureaucracy, slow to take action on initiatives and key focus areas. Unless you are at the senior executive level (Director and above) decisions are out of your purview"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"any employee who has been with TIBCO before 2011 is grossly underpaid. There has not been any market analysis on salaries in some time, and the corporate bonus structure has been a detriment for the past two years - its supposedly tied to company success, which has been great, but the bonus amounts have decreased year over year"

"The company has a good environment, solid expertise and helpful."

"I do not like the micro management, and unorganized management."

"provide a clear solid outline of task to employees, and be assistant."

"Inorganic expansion created pressure for many layoffs in 2011 and 2012"

"Keep up the drive to build upon the core EAI Suite. Focus on Vertical Value Propositions."

"Nice buildings with lots of facilities such as Gym and cafeteria. Job security is good, management is pretty conservative about risk. In general employees are pretty bright."

"Most of the coding is in Java, so spruce up your java familiarity."

"Lack of opportunity and too much process. There has been a reduction of concern for employees over the years."

"Go back to paying competitively. Start having some organic growth to generate opportunities for employees."

"TIBCO was the perfect job prior to being purchased by Reuters. The management was promoted internally so they actually knew what they were doing, everyone was a team, and we took collective pride in our work and product."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I think TIBCO still exists as a separate company as opposed to Reuters TIBCO. TIBCO was the best company I was privileged to work for in 12 years of Silicon Valley. Reuters not so much."

What don't you like about working at TIBCO Software?

"After being bought by Reuters things became typical corporate America and that sense of recognition and pride vanished. Internal politics became the norm until we ended up layed off."

"Reward actual ability and effort rather than those posing for it."
