However, one of the downfalls might be the extra work that comes with being a good sales lead and an engraver altogether while being the only person on the sales floor during a busy day."

"Opportunity, I guess. And you're taking something nice and making it a memory that lasts forever. I enjoyed watching people smile and sometimes cry when they saw what their finished product looked like."

"Dont work in Cherry Hill mall location, you will be miserable."

What don't you like about working at Things Remembered?

"Everything. The manager had an ax to grind with anyone she disliked. She was a vicious, hard headed woman and no one should ever be under her. In fact, there is an assistant managers position open at her store ..AGAIN!!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Chill the frig out. Dont make your employees ask to use the restroom, they are not children. And you can take your power trips and shove them."

"wherever I work, learn new skills and observe new ways"

"none other than caution the applicant to be very proficient in adhoc reporting"

"all reporting was adhoc, therefore, everyone derived their numbers differently. Sometimes counterproductive."

"Invest in routine reports -download to save time and salary."

"Ability to cultivate a steady customer base with State, County and local businesses. Ability to use creativity in display designs and use of communication skills in suggesting engraving on personalized items."

"Be positive, think of how to increase sales (upsell or add a personal message to be engraved to items allowing for personalization), think of how to reduce shrink (both in lack of shoplifting & lack of damage to items). Think like the manager and respond as you would expect the manager to WANT a new employee to be."

"Difficulty in securing reliable part time associates due to low pay scale and last minute hiring for holidays--no built in training hours."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Consider building in training hours in Oct. and late April to allow for trained associates by Christmas and Mother's Day, Father's Day, Graduation & Wedding season sale spikes. Consider a permanent part time sale associate position which allows for benefits even for employees who cannot be offered 35 hrs. or more all 52 weeks per year, to ensure that quality part time associates remain with the company."
