Research Assistant

"I have enjoyed my time at UTSA. Your work will highly depend on the professor who you are working with. Some professors are more strict than others and expect more from their students. I felt I had a good work-life balance, and even though there were definitely stressful moments, overall, I had a good experience. As my graduation approaches, I am saddened to leave this part of my life behind, but excited about what is to come."

"I loved every second while being at UTSA. Great institution. Graduate candidate tends to underestimate you when you are an undergraduate researcher. It is frustration when some of them do not see what you see."

"Great job, but the compensation is not proportional to the level of work you do at UTSA. It's great to put on your resume, but not great to depend on as a source of income."

Assistant Professor

"I've been a Professor's Assistant for my final semester of college. I was balancing 5 courses which included Senior Design and I chose this position due to challenging myself to the task. The department was very easy to communicate with and my professor was very kind and understanding. I am also very grateful for the opportunity to meet students and understand where and how they need help with the subject matter in class."
