"The Department of Public Safety pays poorly and little autonomy. The job could easily be called "comfortable", but I can't imagine anyone will want to work here long."

Texas Department of Public Safety Employee

"I've worked for Texas DPS for over 4 years as a software developer. The people are great and the projects I've worked on are awesome. The work/life balance is near perfect. The biggest and only drawback I see with DPS is that while there may be room for career development, the financial compensation does not scale along with your development."
