"I would recommend to management that they respond promptly with enquiries from the technicians."

"Great Benefits, good coworkers, flexible schedules. It's a good atmosphere and most of the time you feel like the company cares about it's employees."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Most of the lab positions are very detail oriented. If you're more of a big picture person, you may not be very successful here."
What don't you like about working at ARUP Laboratories?
"Those great benefits, while still great, have been steadily eroding over the past couple years. It's hard for someone without 10 years on the job to get a good schedule with free weekends. Once you've learned the tests, there isn't much challenge to the work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I don't know if I would do anything differently or not. The only think I can think of is trying harder to avoid cutting employee benefits."
What do you like about working at Sandia National Laboratories?
"As a whole they spew out words like synergy and collaboration all the time. This usually just slows things down with meetings about nothing but seem to make the touchy feely brigade feel good about themselves. The thing with Sandia is that while corporately its all lip service, there are bunches of departments that strive together to a heave their goals and if you find one its awesome."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Sandia has a really stupid way managing promotions that is based on current salary and with the government pay freezes.... good luck. This might change with a new job structure being implimented now but I don't know yet."
What don't you like about working at Sandia National Laboratories?
"In my group we are trusted with our tasks but are checked on by our manager. This is quite nice though because they are usually just seeing if they can provide help in some way."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Cut a lot of the bureaucracy and overhead leachers that make us so expensive to use."
What do you like about working at PPL Corp.?
"Great pay and great benefits. I like the people I work with."

"Better have an engineering degree if you want to get any where"

"Bad budgeting, short staff, Micro managed, poor management, poor morale,"

"Hire more staff and do more to support needs of the business"

"good people in a very small setting. Yet made the most of it."

"be natural. The best way to express yourself is be yourself."

"smaller influence. Needed to be more involved in the greater health care field"

"hike and recognition. Everything else for me was good and satisfactory."

"I think the management is just perfect here and needs no major changes."

"The company has good products and has good engineers in some departments."

"Don't work there! But if you really want to, be aware of what you are getting yourself into!"

"Management is promoted from within, all while causing inept, inadequate, unprofessional middle management, to be promoted to more powerful positions while not learning how to manage people. I am so glad I am not working there anymore!"

"Please have managers who know what they are doing with their reports!"
