"People were dedicated to getting their jobs done, and done well. It was a nice environment, not high pressured, though jobs did have deadlines."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Getting the job done on time and done well is more important than how many hours you spend doing it. Clock-watchers will feel out of place."
What don't you like about working at Cisco Systems?
"For me, there simply was not enough consistent work, so I found things that I could work on."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Clearer communication to the team would be helpful. Also, directly speaking to all involved rather than indirect (tell so-and-so to do this) is best."

"Many opportunities to learn new technologies and skills, many interesting projects."

"Difficulty getting finished product released for sale, and lack of resources to promote it adequately."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Figure out how to release software that can be used, even if not perfect, and fix it in subsequent patches. Don't let competitors get the jump by waiting for perfection."

"The people who I dealt with on a day-to-day basis were amazing. I learned a lot while working there, both as a writer and as on office professional."

"Don't. They just laid off 2/3 of their workers and the reports I hear from friends left there don't make it sound much better."
What don't you like about working at AMI Entertainment Network?
"Upper management didn't listen to their workers even when they were crying out in unison that something was a bad move. The company was held by a holding company who really didn't care about the business or the product, but only about how much of an asset the company looked like."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to your workers. Do something original and fun. You're supposed to be a gaming company, so entertain!"

"Position is located 70 miles from where I live. Additionally, feel that my skill set is starting to stagnate."

"Less micro-management. Lsss passive-aggressive leadership. More trust in employees and more time to allot for learning the products."

"The schedules were brutal at the end because of all the layoffs."

"Make it a company that employees can retire from. You should be able to stick around if you're a good worker."

"The people were great and very supportive; there was a lot of positive feedback about my work. I felt that my efforts were really appreciated."

"Be positive! Having a broad set of job skills really helps."

"Nothing. It is a good company. When one position was cut, they tried to find another contract to put me on."

"The company really needs to diversify its efforts and try to get contracts with other government agencies"

"Worked with a very cool but small development team. Everyone worked together with no issues."

"Be prepared to match skills to job requirements and to prove database knowledge. Every employee must carry his or her own weight."

"One of the other project managers was a manipulator. I worked for the cool guy!"

"Too many consultants and not enough full-time employees. Over time the organization will pay for this with lost knowledge."

"This was a very together organization -- easily a CMMI level 3."

"You must know what you are talking about. This orgnization does not tollerate BS. They can't afford too. Very competent staff."

"Some of the government employees have been there so long you can see they are bored with their positions. They should rotate them around into different roles."

"The organization is huge; try moving employees around to experience different aspects to avoid burnout."

"Interesting jobs. I always learned a lot working for CDI clients."

"Emphasize skills and map skills to job opening requirements to prove value add to team."
What don't you like about working at CDI Corp.?
"Employees are not treated as assets but pawns. The new president said she wants to change that environment but at SogetI I would still be working. At CDI I got the door because they made no attempt to find an open slot."

"Need to treat employees as an assest.Invest in them so they can provide more revenue opportunities for you."

"The rank and file employees are some of the best I've ever worked worth."
