"if you are a Teaching Assistant, you can get to know different perspective of each student, their thought process and their way of approaching a problem statement. This position taught me a lot about how to handle students and how to guide them."

"It's good to be a teaching assistant because: - Having conversation between students improves way of thinking and generating new solutions for problems. - As a result I learn new approaches for certain problems. - Explaining certain things over and over again is a good way of learning, therefore it helps me to remember what and how to do without much thinking about it. It's bad to be a teaching assistant because: - It takes much time. - You have to work your own courses which are required to finish grad courses and you need to do assistant requirements. - I have to be a proctor during examination, which is I think a waste of time. - Some students' behavior may not be as expected."
