Products have been placed in world-class resort spas and enjoy recognition for being of the highest quality and owner is known for being knowledgeable in aromatherapy and Ayurveda. The office is in a great location"

"Management can be too involved in mothering instead of managing. Management tends to play the blame game rather than acknowledge and resolve problems."

What don't you like about working at Tara Spa Therapy?

"Management is not committed to growing the company. The owner and director experienced a high level of success pre-9/11. Since then, business has decreased dramatically while competition has blossomed. Management is frustrated, fatigued and fighting to keep current clients and increase sales. Management tends to reminisce the good ole days instead of seeing the hard facts of the market place today and acting accordingly."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire a consultant whose advice you trust and go with it. Stop trying to do it all yourself. Owner should focus on relationship building and product line. Director should be let go and new administrator placed. Investment in updated technology is sorely needed as is employee training."
