"My direct manager was way out of her league. She was promoted too fast and without the training and skill needed to be successful"

"Promote individuals who are leaders amongst their peers. Not just people willing to jump through corporate hoops (training, corporate rotations, etc). Listen to the people who work with them on a daily basis."
