What do you like about working at Syracuse University?

"4 weeks of vacation time. No limit on sick time, so if you get the flu you don't have to waste your vacation time. Nice facilities, computers, etc. Take classes for free. Good benefits. Green days - extra paid time off over the holidays to conserve energy (a green initiative by the chancellor)."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Show your connection with the City and your heart for the neighborhood. Be an expert in your field. Show interest in R&D."

What don't you like about working at Syracuse University?

"Pay extra for parking. Not enough cleaning (ex. vacuuming). Micromanagement. Business hours are 8.5 hours, instead of a typical 8 hour day. Requires far more than 40 hours per week (more like 50-60). Requires work on weekends."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Value your employees. Give praise for a job well done."
