"The people working in Athens are wonderful. They are overworked and exhausted but want to do well. They have no control over their situation and the extreme frustration is widespread."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Submit resumes elsewhere and do not believe what you are sold in culture or compensation package. Be happy with your initial salary because raises are typically 1 to 3% for the BEST employees."
What don't you like about working at Synageva BioPharma?
"The CEO is a micromanager who gives little control to ANY employee whether it be a line worker or Senior VP. He is degrading and inappropriate at times. Vacation time is promised but not delivered. You are EXTREMELY limited in your ability to take any days and they do not allow you to bank it or cash it out. Don't believe what you are sold."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The managers will not make a change without major change coming from the top. We all thought that we would make great improvements and quickly found out that we could not really manage anything."
