What do you like about working at Sylvan Learning?

"I liked that I could focus on the needs of each individual student and provide the services that they needed to be confident in their skills and be successful in the classroom."

What don't you like about working at Sylvan Learning?

"I didn't like the way the owner of this particular facility kept changing the requirements to meet our sales goals.The focus changed frequently so that each individual director did not meet their sales goals."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Their needs to be a balance between supplemental education and resource education. The money to be made needs to come from both types of students while maintaining the superior education goals for both types of students. I realize that this is a franchise that needs to make money for it's owners, however the needs of the students should not be sacrificed simply because the focus of the owner is making money. If recognition and support is wanted for the schools that provide referrals for its students in need then recognition of the needs of the students Sylvan is serving needs to be part of the focus of the curriculum and educational support that is being provided by Sylvan Learning Center."
