"Not a bad place to work, high expectations with low pay. Coworkers are awesome but there are a lot of functioning retards. If you come on to the shop floor it is hard to move up, even with a degree. Best is to come to Swagelok in the office if possible. They will hire someone into the supervisor position from outside rather then promote within."

The higher ups try to brainwash associates that Swagelok is the best place to work and what-not, when in reality it is the same as every other corporation. "If you are smart and work hard we will not hire you. If you no you can't make it elsewhere and am willing to unethical things we are for you. We will not promote blacks"

"As a supervisor I am told to hold people back. The yes men are in my pocket. My manager told me to give the minorities the shitty work."

"Not work for my father in law who was given a company"

"Lack of management control or decision making in area. Direction is always a question as it seem to change weekly."

"Make sure that the right people are in the right positions. Research and understand what it is you are undertaking before you take the plunge."
