What do you like about working at Columbia University?

"My coworkers are awesome, but the work is boring and the patrons are sometimes rude."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Fit is everything -- be enthusiastic and ask questions -- they love to know you're in love with them. Sad, but true."

What don't you like about working at Columbia University?

"We do not have time to do anything worthwhile. We serve patrons. I feel like a drone sometimes. I wish I were not behind a desk, but actually doing something. I want to be involved in other areas of the library."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make a few full-time positions and change all student librarian job descriptions. We don't do anything."
