"There are incredibly low amounts of organization and efficiency at this company. Sure we always get done what has to get done, but at a huge, costly, unnecessary price. The people you work with are great. Lots of awesome leads that work as hard as the artists. Management, however, really needs to re-think their strategy as well as who they employ for stereographers."

"I enjoyed working there, the only stress I had was working when layoffs started happening. I worked night shift which was fun, we started out at 70 hours so be prepared to work!"

"Run. This place is soul-crushing. If you need the work, come in with a plan to get out already. You do not want to get stuck here."

What don't you like about working at Stereo D?

"The company forces long hours over extended periods of time. I've been working 14 hour days, everyday, for several months. They crunch all the time because they don't know how to manage multiple projects across several departments. Their pipeline is broken and there's is zero effort from management to improve it. There is a severe lack of communication across all departments. Anger outbursts and snide remarks about projects are tossed about on the floor and management ignores your personal needs of a work/life balance. People are crushed within their jobs and managers take it out on people by managing things that they shouldn't. There are mandatory lunch breaks, two each day, because you're there that long. I work in a dark abyss of an office with blue lights on the walls and stare at a dark grey cubicle. All employees are treated as numbers and are replaceable with someone cheaper. There are only verbal thanks at the end of a project or a useless poorly thought out gift. the building has no cell signal or provided wifi, so there is no communication with the outside world and the family you leave behind by spending your entire day at work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Use the reputation you've built to say no to a client. Enforce bids to a restricted workflow. Clients shouldn't get a perfectly clean film if they didn't pay for it. Stop lying to us. We are all smart and capable adults, so please treat us so. Respect our health and work/life balance. Empower the leads you've put in place to make company altering decisions. They know better than anyone the ways this place could get better and they're not even included in decisions. Include artists in decisions that directly effect them. (Bright red lights in a dark artist environment was a poor decision.) Artists feel like they're treated like children. Do you want to babysit all day, or empower talented people to grow your company. More time off in between projects. Please allow artists to grab stills or sequences of their work for their reel. If you're so afraid they'll leave, then you're doing something wrong and you know you don't value your employees."
