"Was just a job I took because I got laid off from my job as a purchasing Manager. I wanted to work until I got a purchasing job. It was a fun job. Something different and new. Got to meet lots of people and help women look their best with the clothes they bought."

"Just be honest with your answers. And always smile..."

What don't you like about working at Stein Mart?

"Sometimes we had to work until 1 am even after working all day if they had to finish inventory or clean store for corp. visit."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Plan ahead for inventory. Possible bring in trained people who can do this without keeping all the workers there for up to 18 hours."

"There is no chance for advancement, no full time hours, poverty wages, no raises, ridiculous schedules that allow no other life, or work, company runs like fly by night."

"Start apperciating the talented people who work there, and compensate them for their efforts. Run the company with consistancy and credibility.. Give incentives, monetary and personal."

"I liked working with the customers the best. I had my own group of customers that asked for me to help them with picking out clothing for parties or everyday ware. I like that I was always moving from one dept. to another. Always doing something different."

"I didnot like the fact that they would feel as if there your manager they can talk down to you and make you feel as if your not worth much. and for the pay they over work you."

"be equal give raises I worked there for a year and a half and they didnt have money for a .5 raise."

"Try and find a way to pay more to help those working to live comfortably because if they felt they could earn and make a living, their minds could be on making the store more money."

"To Mr. Stein.....get rid of the lying management and put in a staff that cares about your co and their employees and customers not just a paycheck"
