"Absolutely awful employer. There are a few decent people there, but they are severely outnumbered by uneducated middle management and career bureaucrats who are impossible to fire. Nepotism, apathy, and general ignorance are not only tolerated but embraced by SOV. Wages are absolutely terrible in general and well below the national average due to wasteful spending and people at the top of the pyramid scheme making high salaries for doing absolutely nothing. 1/5 would not recommend it. Look elsewhere."

"I have worked with the Association of African Living in Vermont and found it to be a great company to work for. AALV employes a great number of workers who help various groups in the community and i enjoyed the time with everyone at the company. The management are very friendly and helpful at all time. I would highly recommend this organization for anyone looking to work with a diverse population."

"This is a state department within the Vermont government structure. The people who work for this department care very much about the mental health of Vermont residents and strive to assure that mental health services are available around the state and are constantly looking towards the future needs of the state's residents."
