What do you like about working at State of Florida?

"Everything. The Dept of Corrections' culture is like no other, friendly, cooperative, you just feel like you can make a difference."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"As preciously said, the Dept of Corrections is a great place to work for. Unfortunately now they are only in Central and north Florida."

What don't you like about working at State of Florida?

"The image it has. Although the Dept of Corrections is one of the agencies with less funds working, it is one of the few that take care of its people. Everyone is treated like family."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management recently has been reduced. Upper management should think before making long term decisions."

"Able to learn a different recruiting strategy used by the State."

"Every agency within the State of Florida is different. Some are great to work for and some are not."

What don't you like about working at State of Florida?

"The State of Florida has too many people doing nothing. Staff should be reduced"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management will do nothing since management is the problem (currently)."
