"Other staff great, liked the actual work, nice commute, challenging but not too difficult."

"Don't take a job with the state of AZ, division of child support enforcement. Other divisions are good, progressive, and support staff development and growth."
What don't you like about working at State of Arizona?
"My boss had been in her job for 36 years, and required constant validation. Never thanked anyone and always found something wrong with what ever I did and tended to share her discontent with all the staff. There was no pleasing her and if staff didn't stroke her ego constantly she would be upset. She was often in a bad mood and would actually growl at staff that came to talk to her. She rarely left her office, always to busy to talk about the expectations."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Share expectations, work as a team to set goals, be available to staff, share information especially if it would help them do there job."
