"The lack of management skills that I ended up with. The manager that I started with was good and then the manager that was replaced with had no people skills and no intention of advancing anyone."

"Yes, make sure your management has people skills as well as management skills. Also, have the manager want to move forward the current employees into different positions so that they will stay with the company and not worry about bringing in someone from the outside with no current experience."
