"No, overall they do a tremendous job under considerable pressure."

"Excellent job for someone my age at the time."

"Great place for non students to work"

"I was very limited by the fact I was still a student at the School District when I worked there even though my position was a professional and non student position."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pay a normal compensation for non student jobs even if the person is a student at the time"

"The fat times are over."
What do you like about working at Caltech?
"Direct management is good natured and enjoyable to work with. The range of events keep you interested. About 40% is downtime, though you more than make up for that the other 60% of the time."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Wait at least 3yrs."
What don't you like about working at Caltech?
"Upper management is terrible.With the latest cutbacks and layoffs, the work-load of everyone is almost tripling."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be realistic about the shows you bring in, actually KNOW what the venue can and cannot support. Don't be so petty when it comes to little touches like lunch/dinner on a 14hr day. And at least ACT appreciative of several long days of hard work - stop with the 'we're all a big family and have to support each other', because that means nothing when only one group is giving all the support and doesn't even get a 'thank you' - you make yourself look silly and out of touch, and it does NOTHING to help morale."
