"The teachers are easy to work with and have all students' best interests at heart. I worked there for a year, and resigned at the end of the school year. The principal never taught in a classroom ever! She was a gym teacher... enough said. Students have ZERO consequences. Send them to the office after hitting someone, they get a sucker and come back to class. Once students witness this, discipline in the classroom goes out of the window. Also, as a teacher, I spent 5- 15 min. daily, dealing with the severe behavior-this lead to disruption of learning in class... unfair to the rest of the class, loss of learning time, handbook states clearly what happens with hitting, cussing, fighting, etc. 1st time in school suspension, 2nd time out of school suspension, 3rd time expelled. NEVER FOLLOWED. Exhausting, squelching my love of teaching, micromanaged to the point of getting verbally reprimanded loudly in front of others because of not telling that I have ordered pizza for a reward. only receiving an apology via text after verifying that I did talk to the secretary and ask since the principal was gone to a meeting. Very poor leadership."
