What I hate about SQL server is, nothing is easy. Every single click and code creates unanticipated issues. So, it makes me focus in each and every single detail."

"We moved from 32-bit SQL Server 2000 to 64-bit version 2005."

"Phone interview followed by in-person interview with dept. manager and senior DBA."
What don't you like about working at U-Haul?
"Many of the database stored procedures were written by former COBOL programmers and used nested cursors."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"64-bit multi-core server for the project was downgraded by Purchasing dept. to a lower-quality one that gave us constant problems - don't do that, please."

"Different projects - first was laptop disk encryption - others involving PC security followed."

"Mgt changed too frequently - division re-orgs, manager-hopping, teams changed frequently."

"Select one course then follow it through to completion before changing things."
