"Just say No and find another teaching job ANYWHERE other than with any school that is associated with the Spring Education Group. No one at any level cares about the education of their students. All they care about is the money that comes in for their overcharged schools. The teachers are not paid nearly enough and the money that comes in goes straight to Spring Education and the Primavera Capital Group based in Beijing, China. They are a portfolio school and they have no care in really educating any student. Just run away from this job."

"NOT A “WONDERFUL COMPANY” Spring Education Group was born from the merger of Stratford Schools, Nobel Learning, BASIS Independent Schools and LePort Montessori and funded by Primavera Capital Group, whose website proclaims it to be “connecting global investors with China’s leading companies.” As of 2020, they had 60+ portfolio companies, such as ALIBABA, a Chinese multinational technology company specializing in e-commerce, retail, Internet, and technology and YUM CHINA, the multi-brand fast food restaurant chain in China that operates eateries including KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. The company is run by the former magnates of the specialty produce and storage facility fields in alliance with a few of the original school leadership team that weren’t ousted for the team's former colleagues that they brought with them. The words fiasco, blunder and debacle all come to mind to describe the merge and subsequent operations, both before, during and after COVID. As a lifelong Educator and former Director, there was daily disappointment and dismay as decisions were no longer made by people that that were familiar with education, or even the operations within their own schools. UNSOLICITED ADVICE I highly encourage every Executive to visit the schools. I know that between them all, they’ve visited *some/most*, but I mean for more than an hour of glad-handing. Bring the stack of data produced by your paper pushers, but get out there Ladies and Gentlemen….Live a week with a toddler teacher working 9am-6pm for minimum wage under the approved bare-bones staffing model. Shadow a Principal that is confronted by frustrated parents paying premium fees when their child has had several teachers depart, in addition to pacifying the disheartened staff still there. Only then will you gain true insight…Such as that staffing and operating a Public Storage is innately different from selecting and retaining Educators devoted to guiding, inspiring and loving young scholars."
