"I had a simple consulting agreement with Spire where I worked out of my home office. Spire's client was GE Grid Solutions, upstate NY. GE would send me engineering drawings and specifications from bid packages for electrical substations throughout the US. I would take the information and prepare a detailed estimate for 150+line items for labor, materials, and equipment. These estimates ranged from $5 to $7 million. The drafts were reviewed by GE and then I finalized the estimates and submitted to the client."
