"Overall I have gained a lot of experience, thats about it though."

What do you like about working at Sacramento Police Department?

"Be careful and ask a lot of questions about the future of the department and the budget issues."

What don't you like about working at Sacramento Police Department?

"While employees are struggling and wondering if they are going to get laid off, upper management is hiring more people and promoting upper management positions only. The worker bees are left with little to nothing with regard to recognition."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop focusing on little things that don't mean much and focus on the employees that have been there for a long time and given their blood sweat and tears. The worker bees need a break and a raise!"

What do you like about working at Sacramento Police Department?

"Co-workers are easy to work with and the job itself is fairly interesting"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Go somewhere else, seriously. This company used to be good to work for, but with all of the demands and budget constraints, the department does not invest in their employees the way they should"

What don't you like about working at Sacramento Police Department?

"The moral is aweful. The employees are always stressed out and the management doesn't seem to care. All they are concerned with is getting the job done with less people. Putting more and more pressure on the employees that have been there for a while. Everyone wants to leave, but they feel trapped. The upper management is getting promotions while the worker bees are getting less and less on their paychecks."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make more training available for civilian employees, give the employees that are there a raise instead of hiring new people. Get to know what each employee does on their job so that we can be more efficient"
