"I've worked here since 2008 and every year it gets worse. The culture is poor. The higher level personnel have no idea or insight into what the projects are doing. It takes extremely long to get anything ordered or put on contract which kills momentum. Engineers are expected to be contract managers and not utilizing the knowledge and expertise to accomplish technical assignments."

"Being able to lead teams and work with new exciting technology. The opportunity and frequency of travel at SPAWAR is best asset."

"SPAWAR provides a stable career with good benefits and decent salary. The work however is not as challenging as most non-government work."

What don't you like about working at SPAWAR?

"SPAWAR has changed from a free customer focus driven command to a micromanaged completely locked down environment. The focus is now on internal nonsense and not work."

"Focus on fulfilling customer and employee needs, not useless administration."
