"The opportunity to gain more mgmnt experience. The trainer that was in charged of training the tellers was the best trainer I ever had. He kept the class engaged and did a great job."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Turn around and walk out. The pay is low and there is no recognition for achievement."

What don't you like about working at Sovereign Bank?

"I did not like th fact that the branch manager only worked a few days a week and left the Assistant manager in charged and she had no management experience or retail banking experience so I basically ran the branch when he was not there. I did not get recognition or any thanks for this. I also brought a branch that was not performing and never met sales goals to tie with a bigger branch with more staff in the number 2 slot in my region and I never got paid for making the sales goals."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay closer attention to the performance of all the staff at the branches becasue soem staff never get the recognition or in my case the compensation that they need to get."
